Sonic 3 and Knuckles Review
Jul 2nd
Today we are reviewing Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. It was not in a simple cartridge, but it was Sonic the Hedgehog 3 plugged into Sonic & Knuckles’ lock-on port. It was twice as long as the Original Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and also included the ability to play as Knuckles. After completing Launch Base Zone, you will have to beat the Sonic and Knuckles Zones, while transforming your Chaos Emeralds into Super Emeralds. This game’s got to be one of my favorites.
Split Disassembly Hacking – The PSB Message
Jun 29th
Today we’ll be showing you how to get the Press Start Button message back on the title screen in Sonic 1. All you need is a split disassembly, (downloadable here) and an ASM editor. We recommend you use our Sonic Hacking Studio, or another editor except Notepad. The message was present in earlier builds of Sonic 1, but it won’t be shown because the Sonic Team Presents screen uses up RAM and doesn’t clear all of it, causing the Press Start Button to stay hidden. Let’s get started! More >
